I am running a 45G fuge. My question is should I place any snails in fuge? I have noticed lots of algae growing on glass. It is what builds up on our glass in main tanks. the turbs snails love it. Will this ever grow to be a problem in my main tank? I usually take a mag float to my tank. Should I just let this grow in fuge? I have Macro algae growing, & caleurpa grape stuff. I have fuge lights on at night after main tank goes off.

My tank conditions are:
Phosphates 0.0
Nitrates under 5 cant ever say its been just 0.
Ph 8.3 consistently
Cal. 375-400

Is the fuge were I want all this to grow? Is it beneficial?

Please clarify for me. Might be a little confused.

I have snails in my fuge, but the turbos also develop a liking for some of the nicer macros, like Maiden's hair and the red Tang heaven stuff. They do keep the glass clean. They are fine with caulerpa though.

I have snails in my fuge, filter, overflow box. You name it they've made it there, but these are the stomatella type snails and reproduce apparently like rabbits.

Cool I did'nt want to have them doing me wrong. What are the best snails to have?

Kopplin, where can I find the different algaes your talking about? Is Caulerpa not as good as these others? I would like to have the best working for me.
