Gorgeous tank!
new question, last pic, there are two blurry polyps/anemones... is that aptasia?
As a newb I think I am overly paranoid about this showing up in my tank, want to make sure my identification is correct if it ever happens.
Regardless, Gorgeous Tank.. something to aspire to!

Thanks for asking, at first I thought they were zooanthids but now I am wondering the same thing. After work will take better pictures of them hoping someone here can help me with them. I always thought aptasia were white and kind of clear looking but this may be a relative or something like that.

I like the large Poc in the third pic. If you ever get tired of it, I'll give it a good home. :)
Aiptasia are mostly translucent brown with long fine tentacles and a smaller oral disk.
Those polyps are Palythoa, otherwise known as Sun Polyps, relatives of the zoos. They are quite common on live rock.
They are toxic to other things in the tank and you too, if damaged. If you should frag or cut them, do it out of the tank
and with gloves on. Then dip/rinse in a cup of tank water and you should be able to return the rocks/frags to the main tank.
