and you can see the spicules Gary mentioned at the meeting. They stick up into the polyps to provide protection. Stung or stabbed me the other night when I was scraping glass down under one of the corals. This is a member of the carnation family and has serious draw backs. Not a coral to be tried by someone unless there is LOTS of research to go with it. Some corals many people keep can have allergic reactions to these and die. Most of the time they do not live in home aquaria. This one has grown for me. It was a rescue attempt from someone else's tank that actually worked.

next... Nerite snail eggs on the front glass closeup. You can see the many cells within the egg case if you look close. (Not from the cerith snail above). These are the white sesame seed sized eggs many people see on their live rocks.

That last picture is one side of a blue tube sponge.
Macro lens, whats that? j/k I used a 2 dollar piece of plastic lense held up in front of the camera lense and my old
2 megapixel HP on 2x zoom hand held, set to high res. Shaky hands, no tripod, lots of practice. I had to reduce most
of the pictures because they were 4 times this size!
