Equipment Advise Needed

I need to make a decision on what to buy first. It’s between a skimmer and a CA reactor. I currently have a Tunze Skimmer rated for a max of 105 Gallon Tank. My new tank is 120 Gallons. I also need a CA reactor. My budget only will allow one of these this month.

Which one would you get first? Do you think the Tunze will limp along good enough or would you replace it now and get the CA Reactor later.

The tank will have 1 large Regal Tang, 1 Oc Clown, 1 Blue/Green Chromis, 1 Purple Firefish, 1 med Blue Throat Trigger, several softies, SPS, LPS, 1 Derasa Clam.

IMO a skimmer is more important. You can get by with using 2 part additives or kalk until you can afford the reactor.

i agree with gary,your skimmer is more important. are you going to get a matt monster?

Still looking at everything out there. So you don't think the Tunze can keep up?

Leave the tunze on and add a small refugium with just some sand, a few pieces of rock and some macro algae. You can set it up to be fed from a small pump or powerhead and drain back into the tank.
