I need to order a pair of halide bulbs and some VHO bulbs sometime soon and wanted to see if anyone else wanted to do a group order so save on shipping. Please post on here what you want. Thanks.

Hi Captexas,
I need to order 2 MH Iwaskai bulbs and that new vho ballasts they have now.
I want to put an order in this week. When is good for you? I would have to probably put it in on Tuesday or Wednesday night. What is the minimum order for free shipping?
Do they have price match? Because my bulbs are cheaper on Custom Aquatics web site.
I was also even thinking of ordering through that company Customlighting and Supply. If no one was putting a group order in anytime soon. I have a heater I need to pick up as well. They don't carry my ballast though. Anyway, I will stop rambling let me know when you want to put the order in.

I am sure I need something, but it escapes me right now. I will check back when I figure it out. I know I need some 72" VHO's, but we need six for the free shipping and I only need 2.

CAC - Just let me know. The first of the month is less than a week away and I could wait.

George - Have you checked what shipping will be from CA? Bulbs may be cheaper but when you add shipping in it adds up. I looked at Premium Aquatics and they charge an extra $20 shipping for the two VHO bulbs I wanted in addition to the regular shipping for my halide bulbs I wanted. PA was cheaper on halide bulb prices, but way too much for shipping.

Ok guys,
It sounds like there are 3 of us in on this order so far. Here is what I want to order. 2 iwasaki 250 watt 6500k bulbs ,and 2 48" (VHO, T12) Super Actinic R, 110W -URI. I think I have found a ballast at Home depot that is the same as the Hellolights one so I can go ahead and help you guys out with getting the flourescent bulbs shipped for free.

Captexas just let me know how you want to handle the payment and pickup arrangements. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Sherri and Cac - both of you stated after the first of the month. Does that mean the order can be placed on the 2nd of April? Please give me a better idea of when is best to order.

Dan - we can check just before the order is placed and maybe they will have some in by then. I'm going to try the 400watt 10k bulbs myself.

Captexas -- I am going to have to pass on this round of ordering. Decided that the extra money this month needs to go towards a skimmer. Hopefully a group order will come up again in a couple of months when I have some more cash.

EVERYONE -
I am thinking of having the order placed on Monday, April 5th. This is to accomodate for pay days and for several of the VHO bulbs being out of stock currently. According to the website those bulbs should be back in stock on April 1st. All items will be confirmed that they are in stock at the time of order. Prepayment is appreciated, but as schedules conflict and it is short notice, I can pay upfront and accept payment at time of pick-up as long as the order doesn't get to be outrageous! :-) Here is what I have so far from everyone that has posted. Are you changing over you 20Ks to the 10s? If so let me know how you like them compared to what you have now. I'm running the same as you and am trying to make the final decision between the 10 and 20s for next bulbs.

Yeah, I currently run the two 20k XM 400 watters with two 110watt VHOs (one actinic and one daylight) on my 75g. This was after originally having a 6500k Iwasaki on the 58g. I haven't been all that excited with the 20k so I'm going to try the 10k XMs with both actinics for VHOs and see how that goes. After I get them up and going you are more than welcome to stop by some time and check them out.
