My cult coral is starting to fill up most of the tank. Any suggestions/hints for fraging it?

Scissors. Treat it like a bush in your back yard.

how about attaching the frags to rocks?

More difficult....... Wedding vale, netting, tooth picks, or the easiest way is to put them in a place that has low current with lots of rubble and let them attach by themselves after a few days.

I've had the worst luck trying to get colt to attach to anything ....
I eventually lost all my frags, and if any of you have ever seen my tanks,
you've seen I no longer have any colt :-(

When I fragged mine I used fishing line through the stalk and losely around a rock. In about 2 days it will attach to the rock and after a few more just remove the line. You have to do it up on the stalk or it will split itself off if done near the bottom.

I've got as many colts and green kenya's as you need!!! I frag mine twice a month. Rubber bands work every time. PM me if you want one.

Use a toothpick spear it at the base, then use a rubberband and attached it to a rock with a slight hollow in the middle. Only loosely use the rubberband and attached it on both side. You can put it under high flow. The sucess rate is essentially 100%. I use this methos with Xenia and solf corals.

I used a very thin plastic coated wire & pierced thru base of the colt & wrapped it around a piece of rubble until the colt attached - then just cut the wire & slid it out. Kept losing the darn thing til I did this. Now mine is huge also...prob needs fragging.

well, the toothpick way didn't work. Two days later, the frag broke out of the toothpick and disapeared in the tank. I'm trying the mesh method now.

Did it split off the tooth pick? When I did it and several times too as mentioned above fishing line threaded through the stalk up from the bottom so it cant split. My frags were 2"-3" tall and I put the needle through at the top of the stalk and loosely around the rock. Two days later they are attached.

The peice I tryed was about 3"-4" tall (its the little branch on the lower right in the photo) as soon as I cut it it shrunk to about half the size and a bunch of water oozed out of it. I put the toothpick about half and inch from the cut and tryed to place it in a hole in the rock not to pinch it too much. The next day it looked like it was doing better, but the part where the toothpick was looked greyish in color and was still shriveled up. The day after that it was gone and the toothpick was sill attached to the rock with the rubber band. If the mesh thing does not work, I'll try the fishing line next.

The important factor here is not pinch the tissue between the toothpick and the rock at all. Attach is the picture of my Xenia frag. This method works 100% for me. I can't stress the indentation in the rock enough. use oyster shell. They are perfect. here is a picture:
