i'd suggest logging on to reefcentral and asking the guys in the lighting forum. but, that one does say 1000W HPS (high pressure sodium). think Walmart ceiling lights, or parking garage lights, etc...

LOL Jim, No, guy gave them to me he was throwing them away. His place was in fire, box got wet. Things are brand new. Cant use them Well I'll sell them to someone that can make use. I was told they are for HPS bulbs. Its not the same power. Are there such things as conversion bulbs? That will work for these. Its Wattage Right!! Any one with knowledge please speak up. He told me about conversion bulb idea, but did'nt know if would work for Aquarium purposes.
Thanks in Advance

Just got off phone with PL light systems. These ballast can be used for MH. Gentlemen stated to bypass the ignitor for MH or can use as HPS with ignitor in place. These are grow light ballast for greenrooms. Not for any type of garage, parking lot, built to provide good stable power he states. I will try this out, will see how it works. XM's will try. Anyone want to use the 1k Watt. I wont be using it. Probably sell it.

Now, I wouldn't know personally
but I believe they are ideal for indoor gardening (wink wink nudge nudge)
you could probably sell them on ebay or maybe a headshop? ...

Real easy probably. There new. I'd like to sell the 1000 W. I wanted to use on my tank 400 W at least . Got the tech info I needed to start tinkering around with it. Cant wait to see if it works. Sweet if does. 1 less light to buy!!!!! :-D
