Royal Gramma question

He's been kinda scarce the last few days. His normal rock is about a 25 pounder with plenty of holes, with the backside shared by a huge brittle star.

I was thinking the brittle star was bugging him so he found a new home, and I have seen him moving sand and almost making a burrow under a nearby rock.

I last saw him this morning during the morning feeding session.

Tonight when I dropped some chopped squid in, he was a no-show.

Any thoughts/ideas?

give it some time. i had a yellow watchman goby, i thought i lost it, hadn't seen it for months, then one day there it was begging for food, i'd feed it, and wouldn't see it for months, it went like that for quite sometime, until i found it in the clutches of a hermit crab.
