What would be a good place for a squamosa clam. On the rock or does it need to sit in the sand? I am running 4 x 96w PC's on a 72" 125g tank.

In nature a squamosa clam is located on the bottom.

A Squamosa is a sand bed clam. Mine is about 20" from the metal halide. He moved around for a about week until he found the spot he liked. How big is your squamosa?
Get the Book Giant Clams by Daniel Knop. It has good information on all Tridacnid Clams

This is a mini clam about 1 1/4". I am asking because I set it on the rock about half way up in the Tank and he moved from there to the bottom, so I put him on another rock not quiet that high, but he moved again. I'll just set him on the bottom and let him find his own spot than.
Thanks Guys

Squamosa's are a lower light clam. Some even keep them under PCs. I wouldn't ever do it.
Good Luck with him!
