I have a CPR Bak PAk 2R with the preskimmer/bubble trap. Would it be possible to put some macro into the bubble trap part and use it as sort of a fuge?

Never used bubble trap before so I have no idea. You will however over time get some cool stuff growing within the skimmer itself.

probably, however, you will be trying to feed the macro algae off of skimmed water, so it probably would be really slow growing. Also you would probably have to put the light on the back or side to get the coverage and, you would end up getting the macro in the tank I would imagine
