I wanted to go without a canopy but still wanted to use some nice reflectors. At the same time I wanted a bit of versatility to be able to move the lights out of the way if need be and not have to carry them somewhere to place them out of the way....
So here's the result. 8)
It can also swivel around a full 175 degree's left or right.

what about the excess light around the sides? it will really light up the room

Very nice, Chris, and you can set up a part time dentistry business; just a get a nice comfy chair to go with that light and a dremel tool.

No worries Dan. The left side of the tank will be against the wall and the right side is my computer desk so I shouldn't really have any issues.
