Received this in an email.

Might be worth filling out if you have an extra 10-15 minutes.

;)

Hello,

I would like to invite you to take the time to participate in the University of Florida (Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences) "Saltwater Aquarium Hobby Survey".

The University of Florida will only use responses received by noon (EST) on Wednesday, February 25th, 2004. They need to conduct the survey within the week in order to have time to analyze responses for the Marine Ornamentals Conference, which begins March 1st, 2004.

Please feel free to take the survey yourself now, and read the Invitation Letter first.

I took it earlier this week. FYI you may want to read up some on the MAC (Marine Aquarium Council) and possibly peruse some of the debates on reefs.org 's excellent Industry forum to get some background on the 'certification' process and whether MAC is really adressing issues or just whitewashing for the existing marine ornamentals industry practices.

Interesting survey. I advise as many people to take it as possible. Results could be helpful to protecting our hobby and lead to more research being done.

Yeah, with things like this, it's always important to see who is paying for the research and who really gains by the results that are given. Just as in any survey/poll, numbers can be twisted around by both sides of an issue in an attempt to gain support.
