I placed an order with Inland Aquatics in early January for some various live items. They were initially very conscientious, holding the order for quite a while because they were worried about the animals not dealing with the cold weather well.
Today I finally recieved the order. They included a fish that I had cancelled and the prices had gone up dramatically since I placed the order over a month ago. I was not informed of this price increase and was a little peeved. I called them and let them know that I was angry at the price increases and the inclusion of a fish that I had cancelled. I also told them that the fish were currently alive but did not at all look good. They were breathing very quickly, had shallow colors, and just over all looked horrible. As soon as I opened the $89 Imperator Angel's container (the fish I had cancelled) I could tell that there was something very wrong with her (she had a black lining so it was hard to see her in the bag). I e-mailed them to let them know that I had never smelled such foul water in a shipment, other than with dead fish, and that she looked absolutely horrible. I went ahead and acclimated her and released her into the tank, unsure whether she was even alive, but trying to give her every chance. She is very definitely dead!
So, I recieved a fish I cancelled, they raised the prices and were only willing to give me a partial refund, and the fish I did not want was dead within 10 minutes of getting to my house, prior to being put into my tank.
I ordered from these folks becasue they are known to supply captive bred and tank rasied animals and I was trying to be nice to our oceans.
I have been vey unhappy with the service and the quality of the animals that I recieved from Inland and I will deifitely not be ordering from these people again.....
