New arrivals at the farm. Do you know what they are?
They give new meaning to the word 'small'.

Hey - did you cheat? Yes, thats what they are and smaller than a tiny pea too.

Berghia indeed. Those would be fun to breed, but seems pretty interactive after all the reading I have done.

What do you mean by "pretty interactive"?

BTW the white one is hungry! I believe they get opaque when they need some aiptasia to eat.

Read this:

I meant interactive by you have to pay a lot of attention and it's hard to keep them alive because you need to breed aiptasia as well. (they consume a lot)

I bought a pair of these guys and they worked great
Only problem was that when the aiptasia disappeared, they did as well

They are out of stock at the moment, but their prices are fairly reasonable

I have been breeding aiptasia for a while now in anticipation for this day. I have quite a few. I am sure that I will need more, but its a good start.

In the near future I might have some rock I would be able to lend you that has aiptasia, if you are in need. :)

Way to go Larry; i guess that's what you needed the bio-assay salt for? Actually, I knew from the photo they were berghias, as I've been thinking of getting some myself. Good luck in this very worthy project!

I'll surely take donor aiptasias. I know I need many more gallons of them.
Yes Matt, thats what I want the salt for. From what I have read, that is the greatest chance for success in this.
I see that Premium Aquatics has the 150 gallon in a box on special closeout sale for $22.99. Is this good? I hope thats b/c they are replacing it with the mix in a bucket?

Yeah, that's a good price. Watch out for shipping, though. I think aquatic warehouse is going to be stocking the salt soon.

Trying to frag aiptasias. That's a good one. I have a few heavily infested rocks in the 10 gallon you can borrow if you need a quick aiptasia fix. I used the "Joe's Juice" on them as an experiment before putting the stuff in my 110; as it turns out, the aiptasias are back with a vengance, and I've got a nice healthy copperband in the big tank just starting to go after the ones in there.

Matt, He's a worker, there won't be many left standing soon. That'll call for a celebration won't it?

I can use heavily infested rocks to start another tank of those pests up.

I asked AW about that salt and it didn't sound to me like they were interested in stocking it. Sure would be good if I was wrong about that.

I need some photographic type hand held lights to take pictues with. Camera just doens't focus in dim light, but here is proof these things eat aiptasia.

If you want apatasia I have it lol. If you need them I need my rock back lol. If you like I can bring in rock to clean :). Since nothing else I have tried works maybe these little critters will take care of it. And I do not mean I have a few I have LOTS lol.

I am sure they would clean it, but, they have to get up to size first. I could use rocks to start up another tank for the food for them though. I may not give the rock back totally clean the first time, but, I am sure by the second round that is possible. All this is providing that these critters live and grow. I've never tried long term nudibranch keeping before, so, we will see.
