Can someone please fix the login issue I am having. I assume others have this same problem. I am getting VERY frustrated when I am leaving a post or reply and it takes me a few minutes due to the lenght of it and by the time I submit it, I have to resign in again and It lose all that I have just typed. I does this to me all the time. Twice today alone. I think it is timing out the login too quickly due to inactivity. I dont really know. Maybe it's just me. But I dont see how.
Sorry for the gripe.

I have the same problem and very frustrating. I have to re-enter everything on a constant basis, even if I select the "keep logged in" function :s

If you go back, then copy the text, and paste it in the new text box... :) at least that is what i am doing... :)

I have tried to go back but everything is lost because you are no longer logged in. So you cant copy and paste it. But you can copy it before you hit the submit button so if you do lose it, you can sign back in and then paste it. But I dont always remember to do that. And shouldnt have to.

I've been having the same log-in problem. Also, sometime I get hunged during the log-in process. I downloaded "Privacy Guardian" last night to delete out my cookies, but I still have the same log-in problem today.

I too still have this problem sometimes. I was originally told that it was because I used AOL, so I switched providers to RR - still have the problem!

I would suggest posting your issues in the Forum Question/Feedback section so Chris will notice it. He may not notice it here as the Lounge is not the place to go for technical help.

I will put a link to this thread in that section for chris.
Thanks. I didnt know who worked on the site.

No problem. Chris' time is somewhat limited, but I am sure he or Josh will take a look at it as soon as they can. Thanks for bringing the issue to their attention. :-)

I noticed that there have been several log in type problems in the other area. Oh well. I guess I'll add to it. LOL

Hey guys,
For one, please stop using maast.COM Use the .ORG domain.
This problem isn't something that occurs regularly with other users utilizing the same software... so the problem still remains unresolved.
I can't offer much solace at this time.

Taxman,
After updating your browser to the .org domain; Download Privacy Guardian from http://download.com.com/3302-2144_4-10255668.html
Have it clear out all your cookies; see if that helps or not.

I am using IE 6.0 on one computer and an older version on another and netscape on another. I have done the privacy settings thing - long ago....
I am not too concerned. It means that I am less active on the Board, which may be a good thing. But you should not HAVE to have Netscape to use the BB, should you?

The log-in issue has been a pain on dial-up modem. My apartment is taking bid to give us free cable modem. At the same time, they're proposing to raise the rent up by about $40.00

I have seen websites that wouldn't work on my IE with DSL yet loaded just fine with Netscape. Still other people with IE had no problems even with dial-up. Sometimes it's just a matter of making an adjustment to the setting on your computer so that it and the server will work together.
MISTI - And they say teachers don't get paid enough - you have how many fish tanks and now you tell us you have 3 computers? What's up with that!? lol :-)

I'll be more than happy to increase my rent by $40.00 for free RR.

Chris,
Teachers do get paid too little - fortunately my husband had more sense in his job choice. You can afford to teach and still play only if you marry fairly well! ;-)

This problem was annoying the trash out of me, but 5 after 5 minutes of poking around, I think I got it figured out.
in IE 6:
Go to Tools then internet Options, select the Privacy tab and then click on the advanced button.
Select these options:
First party Cookies - Accept
Third party Cookies - Accept
Allways Allow Session Cookies
I was having the 'log on problem' every time I visited the site, and would be logged off after about three minutes of inactivity. After using these settings, I remain on, close browser, remain on, reboot system, remain logged on.
This should fix it, give it a try, let me know! :)

true, but I also have adaware whick blocks against that... besides, it only worked for about 20 minutes... was just logging on to say that it is no longer working properly for me... This is ridiculous.
