I took the arrow crabs back to the lfs today and got this coral. It was labeled "Fox Coral". Just looked up fox corals and they don't look anything like mine. I am thinking it might be a candy cane. Help! Please!

You must have gotten it right after I got there...I almost bought it. I do agree, I've never seen a fox coral that looked like that.

PeeJ is right i believe.... also if i'm not mistaken (i've never owned one, so take advice with grain of salt) that coral should be placed on the substrate in the sand. Don't know why.... Anyone else know if this is correct?

It was placed on a rock at the store.....But then agian..this store isn't known for its reefing.

The placement depends on your lighting and the corals response to it.

Do they require lots of light?

No they do not require lots of light. If you have MH's, the substrate should be fine.
