Feed your fish. The fish feed the shrooms. Thats right, they absorb fish poop (they absorb organics from the water), so you can't feed them if they are the small smooth ones. The large hairy ones with the long tentacles you can feed as they will close up on the food.
Why did you buy the essential elements? That goes together as a set with the Coral Vitae.
Feed your fish and do your monthly water changes and the shrooms will start to grow and multiply soon enough. Feed the large hairy ones and they get real big and then may start to reproduce for you.
Like a couple of months most of the time, depending on kind and color.

I would check out your shroom and make sure that there aren't any flatworms on the rock!!! Alamo has a very bad flatworm problem right now, I won't even buy anythng from there right now, it's that bad!!! Checkout the rock very well, hope you don't get them passed on to you :(

No, what really sucks is that they won't even mention that they have flatworms!!!! Not calling you anything, but people who don't really know alot about reefkeeping and reef pests will get these things in their systems and not even now it, or even how to rid the tank of these things!!

I prefer Texas just because the people there are much friendlier. Ask for somebody named Culebra.

What do u mean u hope those things pop up, that rude. Im playing sure that was a accident. What do you think is the best lfs to buy from? I moved to San Antonio about a month and a half ago from Dallas and have only been to Alamo aquatics and Texas tropical marine.
Best LFS would be Aquatic Warehouse for livestock (fish/coral/clam). Hardware shop arround. There are a couple of stores that I use.

I would recommend CB Pets. They may be located a little outside of San Antonio but they have the best quality in my opinion.

I've been to CB a number of times, but it seems every time I go there it was not worth the drive. What Day of the week do they get their livestock in?

WOOOPS, sorry what I ment was I hope they DON'T pop up in a few weeks!!! Really sorry about that!! And as far as the best once you get to know a few people at each lfs, each one will have pro's and con's.

I'm not really sure Kai. You can try callin em before you head over there. I've done that a few times but can't remember what days of the week they were. And I have to agree with malofish. Each lfs does have it's pros and cons, its just that CB pets' pro is there quality of fish, inverts, and coral.
