Mag 7 problem

I have got an old mag 7 pump that doesn't allways start up when plugged in. When I tap it a time or 2 it will go ahead and start. Anybody ever experience something like this? Is there anything I can do about that?

That is pretty common. I replace the impeller.

Where can I get impellers locally?

Don't know if they have one for the mag 7, but Alamo Aquatics has a lot of different impeller assemblies on hand. Darn things are expensivem for what they are!

sometimes it cheaper to buy a new pump. that way everything is new.
