I have narrow it down to a Sony 717 or a Nikon 5700. This has taken me about 2 to 3 months to do!

I love my Sony DSC-S50. It's about 3 years old and still works great!

Jim, I have a buddy that owns a Sony 717 and he loves it. It's a very user friendly camera that can take some great shots. I would recommend getting a tripod with a quick on/off clip for the head. The tripod will help tons when you are taking macro shots. Handshake on macro shots is a real killer because you can't get your shutter speed high enough w/o sacrificing depth of field. I can't wait to see some High Qual shots!

Well I am back! Camera software is installed, batteries are a charging and the manual may have to be opened!!!!!
