Here is a picture of my new Orange star. I got it in San Antonio one week ago. I got him because of several reasons:
1. He is very bright orange
2. He only cost 10.00
3. He is missing an arem. I hope that he will be the species that will asexually reproduce by droping arms. In a few years (months?) I hope to have several clones of him.

What do you guys think?

I know Aquatic Warehouse had a few of them the last time I was there. I had been wanting to get another starfish, but decided to wait as I got some new live rock that day and would be rearranging the tank once it cured.

I got him at Aquatic Warehouse. Was he 10 or 14 dollars? I can't remember.

I choose teh 4 armed one because I think he may reproduce by drop one of his arms. It is very trickly to ID stars. They can look Identical to my eyes, but completly different species. They also can have completly different color, like blue instead of orange, and belong to the same species.

Yes they are difficult to identify. Linkias come in a variety of colors and look similar to a few other species. And there are lots of stars that are similar with that orange color. I saw those at A.W. and wasn't really sure what type they were. I had two burgandy linkias a long time ago and loved them.
