No doubt the corals have slimmed a bit from being handled and increased the surface tension in the water. Let it be till morning and then try again. You can still run you skimmer pump and cut the air way back to a trickle or cut it off if you have to. That way you still have aeriation going on for the night, just not enough to make foam.
