Here is the strange goo that's taking over my tank. Anyone have any idea what it is?? Please help.

How long has your tank been set up? Have you relocated tank / done any major moving lately?

I did just move the entire tank back in the begining of November.

It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like white stuff in patches with some strings? I had something that looked similar in a tank I moved. Mine turned out to be some dead patches caused by trauma from the move. The white patches showed up at different times, first a few then a lot more. I siphoned off the white stuff and kept an eye on water parameters. It is fine now. I did, before I figured out that it was a few necrotic patches, look in my reef books and panicked that I had a non-treatable/cause unknown rare coral disease. This tank was primarily soft corals, a LOT of star polyps, a few leathers. I moved another tank about two months later that was mostly LPS, some SPS, 6 clams ... had an entirely different set of problems, but no white stuff.
