I'm setting up the fish only tank for the Elgin Middle School. I need some cheap rock that is compatible with a salt tank. Anybody know a type of rock I can get at Home Depot or other local source that would work and look decent?

I think a few people use regular limestone rock. Just have to clean it really well. You can usually find some with nice holes and other shapes. There was a thread awhile back where someone was looking for some and a few people had some in their yards. Should be also able to find some at landscaping places.

jjcarr,
I believe that if you want to use limestone that Kaiser may have some that he'd be willing to get rid of. You can give him a PM and check, He lives out in Cibolo, not really that far out it's about 10 minutes from Ransolph AFB.

I'm not sure if it's limestone, but my buddy harvested lots of rock out of a creek bed near his house....
