hey, i just picked up a small green chromis a couple days ago, and he seemed to be doing fine, but tonight when the tank lights had been off for a while i noticed that he was hidden away in a rock and a lot of his color seems to be lost. do they generally lose color during the night like i have heard yellow tangs do? or is he getting sick? thanks for the help... the other tankmates are a pair of false percs, and a coral beauty

Day/Night colors are normally different for most fish in general.

Ok. Hey Dyncaus, quit scaring the poor thing and he wont be so pasty.
But, then Manny, he didn't say he turned a millions watts of lights on all of a sudden while he was sleeping like you did.
You should hear the comments my patients make in the middle of the night when I flip the big ceiling lights on when the room is pitch dark. Hehe, I think of your poor fish as they fuss at me and squint their little eyes. :D

lol Well Larry, it wasn't exactly a million watts of light. It was only 96 watts of actinic  I don't do it anymore cause everytime I get the urge to or my friends wanna see my fish at night I think nope, Larry'd get mad :-D
