Hi,
I'm getting ready to order some things from Rob Ferguson at:
www.coralsandbar.com
I'm in North/Northwest San Antonio. Does anybody want to split the shipping with me?

You're insane paying those kinds of prices for frags. He is asking $50 for one of the frags. It's nice, but seriously. I've seen people in our group give away frags like that for free. Way overpriced in my opinion. Save your money and talk to Tim Marvin.

those arn't bad prices at all, especially ORA stuff. blue tortuosa are usually quite expensive. And you're getting something that's been kept in captivity (usually several generations), and generally less likely to come down with disease.

I'm ordering some of the orange ricordia for $15.00 per polyp. That sounds ok. He has some nice orange zoanthids too.

Never said it wasn't nice stuff, just overpriced. You can get those same frags from someone like Tim Marvin for less and not have to pay shipping.

I'm sure Tim doesn't have a Tort that's ready to frag any time soon. $50 is not a bad price for a tort. I've seen them as high as 85$.

I'll say his stuff isnt that nice. Well at least it wasnt a few months back when I did his 5 for 75 deal. I picked the zoos i wanted and he got back to me saying 2 of them were out of stock. I picked 3 alternates and he sent out the shipment. The frags were pretty **** small (biggest was like 5 polyps) and the colors werent even close to the pictures on his page if he sent me the morphs I picked. I didnt get any sps so I cant comment on those but I'd look elsewhere....

IME, things just do not do very well being shipped. I would much rather see the pieces first hand before I buy. Lots of times, things bleach out in transit due to the stress and are nver the same.

Chopped frags are always cheaper than tank raised frags. Just common sense. We refuse to sell any propagated coral without a verified captive raised lineage. We sell mostly salvaged frags right now for as little as ten bucks (nice size). A salvaged frag is one that is mounted after being broken off the mother during shipping or ones cut off a colony about to **** the bed. WTF is ORA? :?

Jack when do you plan on ordering?
Lets keep this thread on topic, this is a group order. If you don't like the prices don't buy or if you have a gripe that's what the feedback forum is for.

Ok, ready when you are. I'm near Huebner and NW Military Hwy in S.A.. I'll order over the weekend. I think Rob has a daytime job and takes orders on weekends and evenings. So get me your lists. I would like to check his stock when I order so pm me your phone numbers and I'll call you if there are any problems or added items not on the web site that might be good.
