Are you using a good RO/DI system? It may be the change in the water itself.

have never used ro/di and was great b4 the move, now things are goin wrong. i guess that means that i should go to the lfs and get a couple gallons of of ro/di water

Lax;

It's possible the water at the lfs is even worse than what you're using, unless it's tap water. Depends on the store. If I remember, Austin tap water is pretty bad. I'd do a series of big water changes, like 3 or 4 40% changes, with water you KNOW is good quality. If you get it from Jim, it'll be good quality. You're going to need to either find a good source for water or buy a filter. Either way I'd get a TDS meter to check what you;re putting in your tank. Nanos are pretty sensitive, you know.

It's probably the water. Austin adds all kinds of chemicals to make the water taste good. But it is real bad for a tank. Try the RO/DI water and see what happens. It should be much better. And I would invest in a nice RO/DI system.

But you may be able to make a deal with a member for your water since it's a small tank. It shouldnt be a problem.

I can spot you 10 gallons of RO/DI water also if need be just let me know in advance so I have it made up.

If your nitrates are staying high I'd look at detritus / crud that may have been stirred up during the move. Regardless I'd put more flow on the zoos temporarily - worst thing is for them to be in a stagnant are and get a bacterial infection or some other malady.
