those are 20K XMs (250W) the 10 K Ushios are only comming on 1 hr a day right now. all 4 Halides are 250w

i ran my tests today and here are the results
Nitrate..(NO/3)....0ppm
Nitrite..(NO/2)....0ppm
Ammonia.(NH3/NH+4).....0.25
PH....8.04

R.Allard, would a 400wt 20k look bluer than a 250wt-20k or just brighter? i need to know what kind of bulb i need for ADVANCE M59 ballast? :lol:

Looking good man. I really like the open middle look. Dang now I'll have to rethink my rock layout. How does that Tunze do on that tank. If it doesn't work well enough let me know, I'd be willing to take it off your hands. :-D

I have 2 400watt 20Ks on mine along with 2 actinics on a 75 gallon and it doesn't look that blue. Probably from the camera, mine look much bluer in pictures also. Mine are radiums though, but I've heard the radiums run bluer than XMs.

Looks nice Robert! I had a similar layout in my 215 but had a rock slide in one of the two towers.

Brew.. 800watts on a 75????good thing your running 20k radiums... if you were running
10k ushios or 10k XMs it would look like the surface of mars.And on the TUNZE auh NO!
hahhaha man it works great i get good movement all over the tank and it does cause
some sand tornados but i think that will stop when i raise it up and put the deco rock
on it.

Dan the 400w 20k XM would look good on your tank the problem youll run into
is that it will only light one area. i think with your setup you would be better off going with
one more 250w 20k XM and putting one big reflector over the top of them all.
i know this sounds like a pain but it will give you a better overall spectrum and color
in your tank. IMO.

MikeP thanks ! what do you mean a "rock slide" i know it dosent look it but i have all the rock leaning tward the back glass and overflow and most of the light rock is underneath all of the heavy ones.
there is no base rock in this tank its all cured LR and i probably should have epoxied the rock together but im not sure this is going to be the final rock scape.
