Whats your temperature at? I have a couple of blue frags in my tank that are still blue at 78 deg F. I have heard that some corals will brown up at higher temps but its purely anecdotal atm.

Lights- brands, k temps? What is your calcium/alk? I see changes when I raise and lower those.
Mine stay blue even with temp swings in the 80's. Tank is over a year old now though.

Jushua,
Are they wild SPSs? What is the waterflow? And what is your magn. level? Are they all the same distance from the lights? My temp is at 86 during the day. Are you feeding them too much?

I have read that corals will change color if there is a change in lighting intensity. I can't remember which way it works but I will check my reference books and see what I can find out.

Joshua, how old are the 20k's?? My temps stays within a degree or 2 of 77. That alk. level shouldn't be a problem. Magnesium I have been very careful with lately and checking it weekly or bi-weekly. Mine has been very steady at 1350ppm. My alk. with the finally dialed in reactor is running at 13-14dKh and calcium at 490ppm. The frags I got from Jim have held their colors and my new 250w 10k XM's will be here wednesday.

Joshua, I was told {??} that mag. levels should be around 1350ppm. so I don't know the low to high readings. Plus my Salifert mag. kit also doesn't give you the perfect readings. I do think I'd raise your mag. though. I think that alk. reading is fine too. The calcium I might raise some. Also I am wondering if getting the calcium and alk. levels a bit better would then bring your magnesium back to "normal".
I know when I was battling with my reactor a while back when things were so high, my mag. ran at like 1500ppm. Once the cal/aal. were more in synch, the mag. returned to 1350ppm.
