I was about to order my lighting system and I want to get the 400 w e-ballast. I was hoping to find a retro but its has been difficult finding one. Can somebody tell me how hard it is to put one together, if I ordered all the components. Do I need to call an electrician?? :?
Tks

Things usually come with diagrams and instructions. Electric appliances are color coded. If you are not sure, get some help from an expert. You can get some information from the library on electrical appliances. If you are not familiar with electrical codes, and can't figure it for sure, then yes, at least get an electrician to inspect it. Its not worth burning the house down or electrocuting yourself to save a buck. Get the electrician if you don't find someone here who lives near you that can look and see if its done right, that is. Meetings are good places to meet people to help or advise you too.

It's actually really easy. All the ones that I have bought have color coded wires that match up. you just bind the wires together and you can use wire caps that just screw on over the wires. Like instar said - most manufacturers will include a wiring diagram for you.
