Maybe one of you can tell me if this looks llike " Brown Slime Infection"..

This was just given to me and I was reading up on it and found the part about this infection. It is caused by trauma mostly. Also that they are hard to keep most of the time. Also that this infection can migrate to other corals sometimes. So if it is I want to clear it up, which takes washing and then a FW dip. Both of which I have never done. This Daisy will pull completly into itself when you mess with it so I dont know how I would wash the slime off since the tenticales are all drawn in.

I like this coral and would love to keep it healthy and try to save it.

Thanks for the help
Johnny

hows your water flow around this daisy coral? most corals need lots of water flow.

I wasnt saying it IS the infection. I was just asking if it was. I am new to all the reef related stuff and I just wanted to make sure if it was or not. This way if it was I want to fix it quickly. I havent had any problems witht he coral at all. But was just noticing the brown coloring and found it in a book. And the flow around it is good.

I feel better now anyway. :)

Thanks for the input.
