Dan, I raise them. Happens all the time. If they're not white and you don't have a lysmata wurdmani (peppermint shrimp) to eat the eggs, they will probaby hatch so long as you leave them alone.

It happens routinely with a mated pair. They will hatch but it is a challenge to raise them.

Larry,
Don't you need to feed the fry rotifers, naupali, or some other small critters for them to survive? This is an example of the type of thing that I was hoping we could cover in a captive breeding workshop.

I noticed last night that mine have spawned as well.

One of mine has as well, though less than 12 hours later the eggs were gone.

Could a shrimp or crab have gotten them? The male is guarding mine. He's also fanning them with water with his tail.

Serpent star lives under the rock and could just reach right past the daddy through a hole.

Congrad, Dan. I think having our fish spawn in captivity is a very good yard stick to let us know that we provide a good home to for our pets.
