Ok. I tested my Calcium a week ago and it was 350. I now have 1 Xenia, 1 Small soft coral, 1 small and 1 medium size Zoo's and 1 patch of star polyps about 3" round total. My Calcium is now 300 and I have been using Kent Liquid Calcium everday as per directions. 1 teaspoon daily depending on the load. Well I dont have much of a load, so I figured it would feed as well as raise the level of Calcium. I have been dosing for 4 days now and it is still at 300. I know it needs to be about 425ish. How can I get it to come up without dosing a lot and harming the livestock by doing it too quickly?
Thanks
Johnny

I've used turbo-cal plenty of times and it works well but i'd reccomend once you get it up to where you want it consider using B-ionic. I've used both Kent and Seachem stuff plenty but lately my tank has been doing really well after switching to B-ionic.

Yeah, Turbo Ca is not good for constant use. I forget why, something about the type of calcium.
Because it's Calcium Chloride.
Bump up your calcium using Turbo Calcium then dose Tech A&B or Bionic just watch your PH don't dose too much Turbo calcium at once.

There's a great article by Randy Holmes-Farley on this exact subject, just check out reefcentral and you'll fnd it. Very clear explanation of the whole Ca/Alk situation.

Thanks. So is it possible to dose and raise the Calcium too fast? And how long should I wait after dosing before testing again?

Thanks. I read it and it did help. And the calculator helped too. I will keep trying to raise it.
