I thought these things were adjustable. Turned on my new 1200's and they're blowin my sand all over the place. How do you adjust the output on these things?

did yours come with a little baffle to put on the outlet, this will make the flow directional.

I think the 1200's might work out for me. Not sure yet though. My fish are having to fight pretty hard against the current. But if you have a nano I got a couple of 400's that might work for you.

A maxijet 1200 should be great for a 30 gallon tank. Just put the baffel and extension tube on there and angel the baffel so that it sofens and spreads the nozzel blast out a little. The more you angel the baffel, the softer the flow will get. After things get growing in the tank, you will be glad to have some extra current available.

Larry, what I've done is place em both in the back about a quarter from the top of the tank and point one towards the middle of the tank and the other one more towards the opposite corner like Andrew suggested in another thread. I got em angled up towards the surface with em agitating it a little bit. Does this config. sound good to you?

Keep an eye on the angle. Make sure they do not shoot water up and over your tank sides. I have a maxi jet PH. There is a tube and valve with mine. I believe the valve is used to decrease the volume.(?) I'm reading my instructions.

The tube and valve are for the venturi aerater and only control the bubble output I think Tex. Also, now that I have all this crazy flow, my skimmer is putting out alot of bubbles. Anybody know why? Is it gonna stop anytime soon?
