Do ricordea like a lot of light? Where do you guys have them in your tanks? I have 2 ornage and 4 red polyps, but cant figure out where to put them

I don't think you have to worry too much about ricoria rapidly overtaking your tank Josh. I feed mine everyday trying to get them to spread. They are large, but don't reproduce fast. I would say they like a medium to high light.

That's cause Joshua have some of my crazy ricordea strain. When it move around, it leaves part of it foot behind. From this foot, new ricordea would grow.

They are pretty easy going, they seems to be able to take low light or high light.

From my experience, ricordia are high light anemones. Mushrooms are low and leave parts of the foot behind. Ricordia divide. If they are not hairy mushrooms or rodactus, then put them at least mid way up to high for best color retention and growth.

I've seen it. I still put them up higher because mushrooms and some leathers go lower, naturally. That tank is 6 feet long, the lights are back off a little and there's only 2 of them plus some VHO now. Thats not overkill on the lights at all. I saw an 18 gallon with a 400 watt MH not long ago.
