Here is my little Condy, I have never seen one this color at any website. I want to know if yall think it look good/healthy(Like with normal light pinkish ones if they look like too white you know something is wrong) Sorry about the image quallity, its like a cheap $50 one, any suggestions on a good digital camera for under $100?

I'm waiting for a new camera before I add pics of my tank to my website. My camera is acting up so this old pic of my tank will have to do, this is when I just added the new rocks so they are very very white.

Its hard to tell from the pic, but the purple tips on the tentacles of that anemone actually make it look like a long tentacle. Is there a chance it was misidentified at the LFS? I've seen that happen, especially on bag day at Fintique. I guess one way to find out is when it eats your damsels.

Well I got it from Petco(only $6.99 8) ), they only sell Condys, is it possible it was missidentifed else where and made it to the store? Its been in my tank for a while, my blue fin damsel is the "top dog" in this tank (he is fairly agressive) and pecked at it the first time I put the anemone in the tank, but this is the only time I saw any reaction between my 2 damsels and the anemone.

I get lots of long tentacles with purple tips as well as being completely purple. It looks like one of them to me.

Petco misidentifying an anemone wouldn't surprise me one bit. I don't think they can even pronounce anemone. If you had a clown it would be easy to tell. I don't think there are any clowns that will host in a Condy. Maybe I'm just showing my ignorance.

It could be fresh from collection and not lost its zooanthellae... Some condys do this and most look white...but could be a misidentification...

Thanks Kim,

I guess I've never seen a "fresh" Condy. I didn't think Condy's had zooanthellae and very primarily carnivourous. Live and learn.

That's a condy. Petco gets them with purple tips some times and they usually fade away.
