Any tips on getting a big hitchiker crab out of a tank without tearing it apart? I've lost a few fish in the last week (which I think he is responsible for) and last night I saw this monster tearing on a leather coral. He dove into the rocks before I could grab him.
Thanks,
MIKE

Boy, good luck! I tried and tried to get a hitchhiker out and ended up taking out every rock and doing both a high salinity dip AND a freshwater dip to kill the bugger! Worked well, never tore the guts out of another anemone, but killed the life on the live rock pretty effectively. Hope you find a better way. Maybe a mantis type trap with yummy food?

Joshua,
The glass trick worked great.

I wonder why it never works for me, I have crabzilla in my jawfish tank.... red glowing eyes, reptile like ridges on its back and an evil smirkish grin. lol

Jim, try putting some sake in the glass before you put it in the tank. You know those japanese monster crabs can't resist a stiff drink.
