Is it normal for BTAs to have their mouth open to the point where you can see through it or in other words a whole straight through the middle section?
The tentacles look fine.

Not if you can see the rock! Just hanging open a bit is OK. They will do this from time to time usually to secrete waste. If it stays open more than a couple hours there is a problem. I have found anemones are much easier to keep with a good refugium, or a very efficient filter. I have had very good luck with refugiums.

I have a very large carpet that has existed for years in my tanks. I have a refug and everything looks great but the BTA. I purchased the BTA last Wednesday and has look awesome until now. Should I give until morning or take out and expose now?

I'd wait until it looks like it is falling apart. I've had some come back from the dead....Well, almost dead...

Oddly enought, the BTA looked fine later and this morning. I thought it might be splitting but it didn't.

The first sign of my H. magnifica splitting for me was seeing rock through the mouth of my anemone. My BTA just hold up in the crevice for a day then two come out when it splitting.

The BTA doesn't look too bad this evening. It certainly wasn't up and out like I hoped. The hole still exists from mouth to 'foot'. I guess I will just wait it out for a split.

The next night I found the BTA wrapped around another rock like a collar. The tentacles are full and it looks so word with the rock surrounded by a BTA. What to do?

Loop two rubber bands on the BTA (on opposite side of the anemone) and put gentle pressure on it to tie off and divide the anemone into two. It will heal and form two anemones. You can also use fishing line, or even cut it with a scissor. Most likely they will survive.
