hey y'all,

i was readin over some of the older posts and realized something: am i the only one who has been to partner's??? i know im not but to this day i have never heard anyone talk about them. i thought their store was one of the nicest ones in the austin area(i know its a bit far out of the way from everything else though).

just wondering, and also if they are still open(they were doing pretty well last i heard so i have nothing to believe otherwise that they wouldnt still be open just wondering)

I was there on Friday, they had a nice big puffer for $299 and a nice damsel I wanted, but I ended up buying a Fire Fish from Pet Connection.

Wow, $299. - must have been one rare or large puffer. Was it a golden?

I think it was, it had some big teeth and was about 8-9in long.

Partner's is an AWESOME place. It is run by Teresa. She is very knowledgable. Their saltwater section is small but very clean and well taken care of.
Also they are right next to Ginos---outstanding place to eat.
You cannot go wrong!

When we first getting started, and all we knew was LFS, Partners helped us out better than anyone else in town (this was about a year and a half ago). Teresa and Derek and the other crew came to know us by our first names and always gave us the best advice they could. They're still my "emotional favorite"....for what THAT'S worth! :grin:

Actually Adam now manages/ owns Partners. Teressa is the queen of Saltwalter and ordering for the store. Its the only LFS that I trust. They also have a club discount for a membership fee. I have been dealing with Adam since he was at Pet Connection. Its my favorite Marine store in Austin Metro area.

My friend that got me started into reefing used to work there(Windee), and even before she worked there always talked highly of it.

I try to stop in there if Im in the area. The coral tank is usually nicely stocked and the prices are right in front of your face... :-D
