Josh - I'll bring my camera over if you want. Only rule is you don't handle it around any open containers of water! lol :-)

Hum, just saw the Salifert Bio Coral/Amino Acid stuff in my new Marine Depot catalog. Have to come check it out sometime soon and see how it works.

Supposedly most corals are able to absorb organic nutrients directly from the water. The corals that are primarily photosynthetic supposedly obtain a majority of the nutrients not provided by their zooanthellae by this means. I bought some Zoecon today and I plan on starting to soak most of my food with it before feeding. I've seen some serious discussions about the advantages/disadvantages of decanting the nutrient rich water from thawed frozen foods. I think it comes down to the same thing. Soluble nutrients are provided in the water used to thaw frozen foods. The disadvantage is that you are adding large amounts of very nutrient rich water to the tank. On the other side of the equation, isn't that what we are doing by using something like Fritz Invert Bouquet? It looks alot like the stuff I clean out of my skimmer.
