Tim, what date are you putting in the order and how do you feel about a blue tank making it through shipping from this place?

Is the Skarlet Cleaner Shrimp also known as Fire Shrimp?

Tim Marvin
Fri, 14th Nov 2003, 11:59 PM
Jenn, this guy is top notch! It has been much better than I expect when I order from him. I don't forsee any problems. The last order had 100% survival and the gorgonians were like 15 inch tall, not the tiny ones.

Sholrichter, no the scarlet cleaner is the cleaner shrimp that will clean your fish. Fire shrimp are also known as blood shrimp.

Tim - I would like to get:

2x Purple Gorgonian 13.25 ea
1x Saddleback Blenny
2x Plant, Halimeda

Let me know if he blenny and halimeda are available. Also is this the same place I tried to get plants from last time that never could get them in (I think they were udotea andshaving brush).

sholzrichter
Sat, 15th Nov 2003, 10:00 AM
Do they have fire shrimp?

Tim Marvin
Sat, 15th Nov 2003, 11:39 AM
Minh, I had 25 of these in one tank last time I ordered from him and the two maroons hosted in them, but these two will host in anything. They took to the rose bubbles instantly though. Whenever there is a bubbletip they prefer it to anything else.

Tim Marvin
Sat, 15th Nov 2003, 11:41 AM
Mike P same guy. I'll can him and try to get him to put in plants for sure. The gorgonians were unbeleivable last time though.
Sholz, no fire shrimp. Just what is on the list.

Ok, never heard of zoo's called that but after doing a search I see it listed in many places. Have to change my avatar back to Homer Simpson!

They are usually small green zoo's that is correct.

OK.....now I want to add 1 sea mat too. I didn't realize that they were zoo's. Should have done some research.

Could be a Juvi blue tang in the pic right above his tail. The only one I saw in person had blue/purple highlights above his eyes(looked much like a lemon peel angel but with different body shape....)

Jenn
Sun, 16th Nov 2003, 11:40 AM
Ok Tim, here is me REVISED order...(NO BLUE TANG)
2 Purple gorgonians @ 22.50
Sea mat @ 6.00
Carpet anemone @ 7.50
Bright purple LT anemone @ 3.75
TOTAL = $39.75
I figured the "blue" tang had to be something other than the regal for that price. Thanks for doing this order and let me know if you have any questions. I would like to find out when you are placing this and when I will need to come pick it up - I often work late during the week, but can make arrangements to get off early.

Tim,
What is the pricing on the sailfin blenny, pistol shrimp, and flower anemone (epicystis crucifer). Also, is there any way to verify the sailfin blenny is this http://www.reef.org/member/forum/fom/mar03.htm?

Right now I would like:
1 pearly jaw fish
1 pistol shrimp
1 flower anemone
1 sailfin blenny if it as described as above...

Thanks,

Jeff - if he's collecting from the keys I am betting the sailfin is more likely this fish - Emblemaria pandionis.

If not though I'd love to get one of those black sailfins - they are way cool. Check out the one in the corner tank at aquatek - apparently no one can get them anymore.

OK the order has been placed. I add some extra stuff and should be able to fill everyones list if everything arrives. I'll have to just wait and see what he can get collected. This isn't a wholesaler so the only source he has for animals is what is in front of his mask. This is what gets us the cheaper prices though.

Thank you guys for joining in. It gives us more buying power the bigger the orders are. If they see a trend for big orders they tend to take better care of you.

When and where do we pick up our orders? I am just trying to figure out if I have to make a road trip by myself or if I can get someone to pick up my order and I will meet them halfway. I live on the N.E. side of town near IH35 and Loop 1604.

Tim Marvin
Tue, 18th Nov 2003, 11:34 PM
I am on the north side of Austin, but someone will be going down there or coming up here I assure you.

Jenn
Thu, 20th Nov 2003, 08:59 AM
Tim, when do expect they will come in? I am close to a halfway point between Austin and SA so we can try to work something out for you guys in SA, but I can only pick the items up from Tim on a Sat. or Sun.

gcantu
Thu, 20th Nov 2003, 09:08 AM
Jenn, I wouldn't mind driving into New Braunfels to pick up my stuff. I only ordered one sea mat at $6.00. When do you want me to pay you, before or after pickup??

Jenn
Thu, 20th Nov 2003, 09:22 AM
I live about 6 miles east of I-35 straight out of NB. I will have no prob picking the orders up from Tim, that is if I can do it on the weekend, and then bringing them to my house. You guys can just pay me when you come over and pick the stuff up.

Tim, is the weekend pick-up from me ok, and do I just leave the items in the shipped material while it waits for everyone to come get it?

Jenn
Mon, 24th Nov 2003, 10:13 PM
Tim, I was wondering if you have heard any feedback on our order. Thanks.

Tim Marvin
Tue, 25th Nov 2003, 01:03 AM
I am going to give him a call tomorrow. This is a little different than ordering from the wholesalers, which get the order out over night. This is coming from the collector so it takes him time to collect variety. He may go and collect just snails one day and fish the next. At any rate I will be giving him a call tomorrow, but don't want to bother him too much as he sends REALLY NICE stuff. I'lll post more as soon as I find out.

Jenn
Tue, 25th Nov 2003, 11:12 AM

awesome, I'm glad to hear that. I live in SA but can make the trip If you need me to. There is only one little problem, I getting my masters in Mechanical Engineering and have finals next week and I have to go to florida next friday at 5pm, I am going on a cruise so I won't be back for about 10 days. I can send you the money immediately, or give it to someone who is going up their. Would it be possible for you or someone else to hold on to my stuff till I get back. I got a weird little zoo frag I will give to anyone who can do this. Sorry for being a pain, this is just a crazy little 2 weeks I have coming up.
