I recently bought a toadstool mushroom leather and am having problems placing it. I've been readin up on em and haven't really been able to find anything on placement. Is it ok if I position it in the sand?

Yes it is, but I have found they do best with a good flow and good lighting. VHO or better and at least a powerhead in the tank pointing in that general direction. Don't point a powerhead right on it, this is not good.

Toadstools are primarily photosynthetic. Its thought that they only absorb nutrients and very small foods such as bacteria. That's why current and light are so important.
