hey mike,

first of all, GREAT PICS!!! i especiallly love the zoos! i just wanted to tell u that what uve got urself there is actually a goneopora. the way to tell is goneopora have 24 little fingers on the end of each arm and alveopora only have 12. it looks like its doing great in ur tank which is really hard to do since it is one of the hardest corals to keep, so ive been told. but like i said great pics and fantastic looking corals!

Wow,
Great pics, Mike. Did you get any full tank shots, just to remind me how good you are at stacking rock.
Man, Mike you have a really sweet reef.

Mike,

Those are stunning photos! Would you mind letting us know what sort of camera you're using, and share any tricks you have for getting the best color reproductions? You've obviously figured something out! Wow!

Rwilliams - I am just using a canon g2 in macro mode. The only filters I use are Auto Levels, Auto Color, Unsharp Mask. I usually drop the brightness a point or two and up the contrast a tad more once I am done to make it stand out - no real messing with the actual colors.

These pics are coming out well mostly because I'm using a tripod to keep steady and in focus.

Thanks for the feedback!
