Hello everybody.

I found out about this site from one of your members posting to my post on another forum. So here I am.

I am glasd to see that there is a organization near me that I can turn to if needed. I live in Kyle, Tx. Near Austin. So dont hesitate to get ahold of me if you need anything at all.

I am currently in the process of setting up my new Reef Tank. It's my 1st attempt at a Reef. I do have a few years of FOWLR exp. But Reefs ar all new to me. I am also building a new hood for my lights and the lighting controller. I will insert a picture of it. And I am going to cut in a door on the front of it, so I can access the aquarium easier.

I am a metal fabricator for my small business that I have. Part Time Business. :)

And I found that working on this WOOD project is really more fun than welding steel together.

So if you need a hood or help building one , just give me a shout. I'll be glad to help you out. BTW. This is not trolling for business. I will help you for free. Just give me advice when I need it for my new Reef Tank.

Trust me. I'll need all the help one can give me.

So I'll talk to you guys and gals soon. And thanks Tina for letting me know about you guys.

I bought those same "junk" inside your tank when I first started. You should take back the sand and the fake coral decoration if you want to set up a real reef tank. Here's some picture of my old reefs if you want to get some ideas.

Thanks all for the welcome.

JIMNORRIS, Give me your addy and I'll try to be there.

XIEN2000CORP, I never claimed to be an engineer but I can take a look at them whenever your ready. I build Hunting blinds, towers and feeders. I have a website that I opperate it from. Like I said it's a spare time job. www.hunterbuilt.com

I hope I dont offend anyone buy being a hunter.

TEXASSTATE, Do not pay attention to the Fake corals and rock in my tank. Those are old and I just didnt have anywhere to put them. My tank has been down for nearly a year. But I am going to use the Live Sand.

As for my equipment,
58 Oceanic Show, Rio 2100 pump , Wet/Dry and Skimmer by Aqua Aquatics. All about 8 or so years old.
35" T5's , 1 Daylight and 2 Actinics. Planning on 1-3 more T5's . I am currently shopping for a light controller and a 2nd pump. I want to run 2 pumps instead of placing Powerheads in my tank. Plus I need extra flow.

Species wanted,
Not completely sure yet. I am not going after items that require High light and High flow. I am looking for Low-Mid Light entensity and Medium flow loving items. And of course I want to start with easy-moderate to keep species as well.

So I will keep you posted. And I will really try to make the meeting. It can only help. :)
