Clam Question???

I am thinking about getting a clam in the near future. But, what is the difference between a maxima and an Ultra maxima (Besides being Ultra Pricey).

Let's see, there's ultra maxima, maxi ultima, mega suprima, suma maxima. No, wait, those are car models.....

both are the same species it's just depends on the color. ultra is your best clam as far as color and patterns electric blues, greens, orange, gold etc. although regular maxima's aren't too shabby either because they can also be the same colors as your ultras but just not as intense, you can't go wrong with either. like you kinda said it's a way for the clam farmers to make alittle extra money for the better looking clams.
