Yup, that's why I only use the Digital Timers since those mechanical one's have gotten stuck on me before.

Good info.

Of course, if you press the wrong button, you could leave that digital timer on for more then 24 hours too.

Yeah, that just happened to me last week, luckily it was only on for 48 hours straight, and it didnt hurt anyone. What do you guys suggest for a good timer to use?

I use heavy duty mechanical timers from Lowe's. They're made by Timex and designed for outdoor/high humidity use such as swimming pool pumps and Christmas lights. They are designed for little to no water instrusion and only cost about $17.

I use the same ones as Joe. They work great so far. I have been running them for a couple years without touching them

I use the Heavy Duty Intermatic digital timers that Home Depot sells. They are all digital and come with batteries to save the programming in case you loose power.

The Timers are made to hold 15 amps worth of load and only cost $19 bucks.

I use several of that exact model as well. One of them is misbehaving - I had to take it apart, clean it, and put it back together again to get it to turn itself off at the proper time. Otherwise - they're performing like champs.
