Who can drill a 5/8" hole through a glass tank ? I don't think Aquatrend has anything smaller then a 1" .

You might check HD. I think they have glass bits for doing small holes like that. They look like a 1/4 bit with a thin flat spade piece slid up through a groove cut into the bottom, it does NOT look like a normal wood spade bit.(home that makes sence) Not sure how big they go though...

Those spade looking bits are for drilling tile. I doubt they would do well on glass.

I think they say for glass on the package, if I rem. correctly...cs

All I know is that I have used them before and it is hard enough just drilling through tile. I would hate to try to drill through a piece of glass, especially if it is not well supported from the other side.
