Overflow

I'm running a Mag 9.5 for my return I've got alot of noise coming from my overflow any suggestions on what I can do to quiet it down? 120 gal tank oveflow is 29" deep

What type of overflow is it? If its a HOB, im not sure, but if its a corner overflow, drilled through the tank, then you could try the durso stand pipe. Basically, what it does is it raises the water level in the overflow box to a couple inches below the top, so the water doesnt fall as far, so there is less noise. It also eliminates the gurggle sound by controlling the amt. of air sucked into the pipe.
