There is also red kelp and other macros. We need a better description. Is it slime looking?

I have a 30 gallon eclipes. I have a golden headed sleeper gobi, two 1" false percs, coral banded shrimp, a six lined wrasse, and a beautiful fire angel. I have about 25-30lbs of live rock. The tank water has been tested and all test were perfecto! I have had the tank about 3 and a half months and have just recently put the live stock in. Oh I have 3 turbo snails in there too. The red is not slimy at all. It looks more like a powder on my front view glass and a little on my live rock???? The fish seem to be very happy, moving, searching, feeding, as well asthe shrimp molted about two days ago! it was awsome. So what do yall think???

The tank is filtered by the eclipes 3 filtration system. It seems to be doing a great job? let me know what yall think

Your clowns should host in Ritterie (Heteractis magnifica), true Carpet Anemone (Stichodactyla gigantea), Merten's Sea anemone (Stichodactyla mertensii). Look at his ebook
http://biodiversity.uno.edu/ebooks/intro.html that may help.

I'd avoid a carpet or a ritteri in that tank. Carpet will end up getting a nice meal out of the fish other than the clowns and ritteri are very hard to get established. Go with a bubble tip or long tentacle.

The algae may just be some type of calcerous algae - they come in all kinds of colors - if you can't blow it off a rock easily it's probably not cyano.
