I have an RO unit but I know that soon will need to be flushed. The thing is, that I don't know how to do this. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

When you say flushing, I believe you mean to help keep the membrane cleaner, and therefore prolong the life of sed membrane, yes? To do this you simply put a by-pass in the waste water outflow. The waste water must by-pass the flow restricter. This is usually done with a two-way valve, but you could simply remove the resticter and run the unit for one minute, and then replace the restricter. However some restriction devices are easily dammaged so be careful.

Just so you know. The manual that came w/ mine said to flush every month or two.

Yes, I did mean to extend the life of my filters. I did not know it had to be done that often. I guess I should have started quite some time ago. I will read my manual to see if it says how to do it and thanks for your quick replies.
