I have seen this, and it sounds like a pretty good product, but I am not quite sure. Have any of you used it, and what did you think?

Yes. I ordered a bunch when we were first setup our freshwater tanks. At the time I put it in our tanks the nitrite levels in our tanks were pretty high. After 5 or 6 days they were still high so I called the guy at the company to ask what the deal was. His reply was that sometimes it takes 4 to 6 weeks to start working - oddly enough that's about how long it takes to cycle a tank without adding anything. What a load of BS. Don't waste your money.

Take a walk down the isles of your LFS or brouse the net. I cant believe all the worthless stuff their trying to sell us. Maby it's time to hold some of these companies accountiable for the crap their selling. Better still lets all get together and invent something that does absolutely NOTHING and put a good label on it. Just think, we could all be millionares. :-D

Is that a knock on chemi pure from Boyd Enterprises? I actually like all the products from Boyd...chemi pure, chemi clean, vita chem. I've been using chemi pure on my african cichlid tanks for many years. I know it's doing something more than regular carbon because when I replace it my cichlids color up better and then proceed to beat the crap out of each other...All signs of a happy African cichlid tank :) .

There is no prob w/ my tanks except for the algae I can't get rid of in my trigger tank. Can't get any kind of clean-up crews cause they're on the menu for these fish. I was needing some confirmation that this product is probably BS, so thank you guys. I'm gonna keep scraping!

What type of algae problem? Hair, cyno, brown? Maybe we can help come up with a real solution.

I'm not sure what cyno is, but the tank definitely has brown, red, and green algae. I think the green is healthy though, right? As soon as I put the 2 tanks into 1, I have a foxface and blue dotted puffer that I think will help. Just wish I could get starfish, snails, etc... Anyone want a 7" clown trigger? KIDDING!!!!
